How to Get Here

Come to Highlands County for a visit to the heart of the Sunshine State. Centrally located, we've got rolling hills, beautiful orange groves and countless lakes with sandy beaches. It's the best of all Florida worlds.

From I-4 (north of Highlands County):
Take US 27 south to Avon Park, Sebring and Lake Placid.

From I-75 (northwest of Highlands County):
Take SR 70 east toward Lake Placid,
or
take SR 64 east to Avon Park,
or
take SR 64 east, then US 17 south (briefly), then SR 66 east toward Sebring.

From I-75 (southwest of Highlands County):
Take SR 80 east, then SR 29 northwest, then US 27 north toward Lake Placid, Sebring and Avon Park.

From I-95 (northeast of Highlands County):
Take SR 70 west toward Lake Placid,
or
take SR 70 west, then SR 98 northwest/west to Sebring and Avon Park.

From I-95 (southeast of Highlands County):
Take SR 710 northwest, then SR 70 west toward Lake Placid,
or
take SR 710 northwest, then SR 70 west (briefly), then SR 98 northwest/west to Sebring and Avon Park.
